The Cedar Key Sharks will venture away from home to take on the Redeemer Christian Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Key is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Cedar Key and Countryside Christian have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Sharks lost to the Minutemen on the road by a 55-38 margin.

Meanwhile, Redeemer Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against First Academy on Monday, but they still walked away with a 34-30 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Cedar Key better focus on containing LaLa Wright and Selena Martin as the pair were huge in Redeemer Christian's win. Wright posted ten points, while Martin earned ten points. Laramie Butler was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Redeemer Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Cedar Key, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Cedar Key beat Redeemer Christian 42-30 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sharks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
