Basketball Recap: Pine River-Backus Takes a Loss

Pine River-Backus lost against Nevis back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pine River-Backus Tigers might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Nevis Tigers an easy 94-70 win. Pine River-Backus has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pine River-Backus' loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Nevis, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine River-Backus will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Long Prairie-Grey Eagle at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Nevis, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Dawson-Boyd at 2:45 p.m. on December 27th.
