Softball Recap: Russell County Takes a Loss

Russell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to the Brantley Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Russell County's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Brantley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Russell County will venture away from home to square off against Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Carroll has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.28 runs per game on average), something Russell County will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Brantley, they will challenge LAMP at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
