Football Recap: Newport Comes Up Short

Newport fell victim to Dayton and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Pirates and fell 42-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cubs in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost four in a row.

Newport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Dayton, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
