Basketball Game Preview: Washburn Millers vs. Coon Rapids Cardinals

The Washburn Millers and the Coon Rapids Cardinals will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Washburn will be strutting in after a win while Coon Rapids will be coming in after a loss.

Washburn is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest victory since January 29th on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Edison 61-19. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Millers.

Meanwhile, Coon Rapids was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Anoka 77-48. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 90th).

The win got Washburn back to even at 4-4. As for Coon Rapids, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
