Preview: McKinley Tigers vs. Moanalua Menehune
McKinley has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Moanalua Menehune at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, McKinley brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They enjoyed a cozy 56-38 victory over Castle on Saturday. McKinley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, Moanalua had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Farrington 76-36 on the road. The win was just what Moanalua needed coming off of a 77-35 defeat in their prior match.
McKinley's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Moanalua, their victory bumped their record up to 4-14.
McKinley was taken down by Moanalua 57-27 in their previous matchup back in January. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point McKinley was down 47-17.
