Preview: Cedar Ridge Raiders vs. Vandegrift Vipers
Cedar Ridge is 0-5 against Vandegrift since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cedar Ridge Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Vandegrift Vipers at 7:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Cedar Ridge has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Vandegrift will arrive with seven straight wins.
Last Friday, Cedar Ridge ended up a good deal behind Manor and lost 37-23.
Meanwhile, Vandegrift humbled Round Rock with a 45-3 victory. Fans of Vandegrift have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Vandegrift can attribute much of their success to Zaid oliver, who rushed for 57 yards and three touchdowns. Another big playmaker for Vandegrift was Miles Coleman, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Vandegrift's win bumped their season record to 7-0 while Cedar Ridge's loss dropped theirs to 2-5.
Cedar Ridge might still be hurting after the 29-7 defeat they got from Vandegrift when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Cedar Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
