Football Recap: Niceville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Destin last Thursday, Niceville came back down to earth. The Eagles were beaten by the Choctawhatchee Indians 28-0 on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Eagles seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Peyton Carter threw for 102 yards on 16 of 29 attempts. Khamauri Hardy was her top target, picking up 39 receiving yards.

Niceville's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Choctawhatchee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-1.

Niceville has already played their next match, a 20-0 victory against Gulf Breeze on the 7th. As for Choctawhatchee, they will face off against Pace at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
