Basketball Game Preview: Muscatine Muskies vs. Davenport Central Blue Devils

Muscatine is 2-8 against Davenport Central since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Davenport Central is hoping to do what Davenport West couldn't on Friday: put an end to Muscatine's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Muscatine simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Davenport West 74-39. The Muskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Davenport Central's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Friday. They took a 74-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Davenport North. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (55), the Blue Devils still had to take the loss.

Muscatine's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Davenport Central, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Muscatine and Davenport Central were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February, but Muscatine came up empty-handed after a 46-45 defeat. Can Muscatine avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
