Basketball Game Preview: Cordova Wolves vs. Bartlett Panthers

Cordova hasn't had much luck against Bartlett recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cordova Wolves will be playing at home against the Bartlett Panthers at 6:00 p.m.

Last Monday, 2025 welcomed Cordova with a 59-36 loss courtesy of Evangelical Christian. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Eagles are ranked 126th).

Meanwhile, Bartlett can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Houston 71-39. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-18.

The win got Bartlett back to even at 9-9. As for Cordova, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Cordova took a serious blow against Bartlett in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 66-12. Can Cordova avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
