Basketball Recap: Normal Community's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Normal Community and Quincy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Normal Community had to settle for second. They fell 61-54 to the Quincy Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, the Ironmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Blue Devils are ranked third).

The defeat snapped Normal Community's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 28-7 record. As for Quincy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-3 record this season.
