Football Recap: Kristian Nobles' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Harker Heights over Midlothian

Harker Heights dropped to 2-2 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They lost 28-7 to the Midlothian Panthers. Despite 169 more yards than the Panthers, the Knights couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kristian Nobles, who picked up 135 receiving yards and one score. Hudson Humble was another key player, having thrown for 407 yards and onetouchdown.

As for Midlothian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The matchup marked their most dominant victory of the season so far.

Kentorion King had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 67 yards. Another player making a difference was Beau Wendel, who threw for 109 yards and one TD.

Coming up, Harker Heights will take on Midway at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,113 yards in their previous games. As for Midlothian, they will square off against Joshua at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The contest will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
