Baseball Recap: Southwest Valley Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fremont-Mills on Wednesday, Southwest Valley came back down to earth. Southwest Valley came up short against the Mount Ayr Raiders on Thursday, falling 12-6. Southwest Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mount Ayr apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Southwest Valley now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Mount Ayr, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Southwest Valley has already played their next game, an 18-15 defeat against Lenox on the 13th. As for Mount Ayr, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-0 victory against Wayne on the 13th.
