Varela entered their tilt with Mater Brickell Academy on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bulls by a score of 74-63. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vipers also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Despite the loss, Mater Brickell Academy still got an impressive performance from Antonio Medina IV, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 20 points along with seven boards and four steals. Medina IV has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Elijah Avila was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Varela's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Mater Brickell Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
