Softball Recap: Gadsden City Takes a Loss

Gadsden City lost against Fort Payne back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gadsden City Titans lost 11-3 to the Fort Payne Wildcats. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gadsden City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Naomi Wise, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Gadsden City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Fort Payne, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.

Coming up, Gadsden City will take on Ragland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gadsden City is facing Ragland at the right time seeing as Ragland is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Fort Payne, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-2 loss against Boaz on the 17th.
