Washington, Serra, Bellevue rank among top medium school football teams in the country.

Washington (Miami) holds down the No. 1 spot in both the Xcellent 25 national rankings and the MaxPreps national computer rankings, so it shouldn't be any surprise that it also comes in at No. 1 in the latest National Medium Schools Football Rankings.

Washington, with an 84.0 ranking, has a healthy lead over second-place Serra (Gardena, Calif.), which has a 74.0 ranking. Serra is just above Bellevue (Wash.), which has a 73.0 ranking.

California has three of the top five schools and joins Ohio and Florida with three teams each in the Top 25.

The medium schools rankings are based on the MaxPreps computer rankings and consist of schools that play in high school enrollment divisions that generally have between 1,000 and 2,000 students.
