Soccer Game Preview: Moody vs. Springville

Moody hasn't had much luck against Springville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Moody's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Moody's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They skirted past Crossville 1-0.

Meanwhile, Springville had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They blew past the Fighting Saints 10-0. The result was nothing new for Springville, who have now won ten contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Springville's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those four matchups. As for Moody, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8-2.

Moody suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Springville in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
