Baseball Recap: Hoehne Takes a Loss

Hoehne saw some tournament action on Thursday. They lost 21-6 to the La Junta Tigers. The Farmers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caden Marquez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Even though they lost, Hoehne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. This was only their first loss (out of four games) when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Hoehne now has a losing record of 3-4. As for La Junta, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Hoehne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-0 loss against Silver Creek on the 28th. As for La Junta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-2 defeat against Sterling on the 28th.
