Fort Payne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carley Cash led the charge by getting eight digs and two aces. What's more, Cash posted four assists, the most she's had over her last nine matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Jojo Goza, who had seven digs and two assists.

Fort Payne's win bumped their record up to 38-11. As for Holly Pond, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-9 record this season.

Fort Payne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Winston County on the 4th. Holly Pond has also already played their next match (against Susan Moore), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
