Basketball Game Preview: Ranchview Wolves vs. Burleson Elks

The Ranchview Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Burleson Elks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Ranchview is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Grapevine just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The matchup marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Burleson suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 66-42 to Elgin. The Elks' defeat didn't just snap their winning streak: it also ended the team's undefeated season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Burleson fell to 8-1. As for Ranchview, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Ranchview came up short against Burleson in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 38-32. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
