Softball Recap: Cedarville Comes Up Short

If Cedarville was riding high fresh off their 14-2 takedown of Catholic Central on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians came up short against the Northeastern Jets on Friday, falling 12-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Jets: they've now lost six in a row.

Cedarville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katelyn Reed, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Cedarville's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Northeastern, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-11.

Coming up, Cedarville will be playing in front of their home fans against West Liberty-Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Tigers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Northeastern, they will face off against Waynesville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
