Basketball Game Preview: New Trier Trevians vs. Glenbrook South Titans

The New Trier Trevians will challenge the Glenbrook South Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Trier will be strutting in after a victory while Glenbrook South will be coming in after a defeat.

Glenbrook South is hoping to do what Glenbrook North couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to New Trier's winning streak, which now stands at three games. New Trier breezed by Glenbrook North to the tune of 64-36. The Trevians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 28 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook South fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Evanston on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildkits. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Trier has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points per game. As for Glenbrook South, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

New Trier came up short against Glenbrook South in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 67-55. Can New Trier avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
