Basketball Game Preview: Anna Rockets vs. Russia Raiders

The Anna Rockets will take on the Russia Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Anna is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They skirted past Indian Lake 65-63. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rockets as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Russia put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Fairlawn, posting a 74-29 win. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Russia pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.1 points. As for Anna, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Anna didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Russia when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-48 victory. Does Anna have another victory up their sleeve, or will Russia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
