Baseball Recap: Zion Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Zion Christian Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Providence Christian Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles fell just short of the LIONS by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since March 28th.

Zion Christian Academy saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Handley, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. Handley has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Thatcher Looney was another, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Zion Christian Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Providence Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 11-11-1.
