Basketball Recap: Christian Liberty Comes Up Short

Christian Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 32-31 heartbreaker at the hands of the Victory Christian Academy Lions.

Victory Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kristen Penner out in front who posted 11 points. Those 11 points gave Penner a new career-high. Lucie Carter was another key player, to rack up 11 points and five rebounds.

Christian Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Victory Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Christian Liberty nor Victory Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
