Soccer Game Preview: Cane Bay vs. Wando

Cane Bay hasn't had much luck against Wando recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cobras will look to defend their home pitch against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Cane Bay barely beat Goose Creek the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cobras never let the Gators get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Wando came tearing into Tuesday's match with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.6 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory. Considering Wando have won 12 contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wando's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those ten games. As for Cane Bay, their win bumped their record up to 6-7-1.

Cane Bay might still be hurting after the 6-1 defeat they got from Wando in their previous matchup back in March. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Cobras were down 5-0.
