Medicine Lodge barely beat Chaparral the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians blew past the Roadrunners 17-7 on Monday. The match marked the Indians' most dominant win of the season so far.

Avalon Theis spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on three hits.

On the hitting side, Maryn Inslee was a standout: she scored four runs while going 3-for-4. She also put up two doubles, which were her first of the season. Emmy Gerdes was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Medicine Lodge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Medicine Lodge now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Chaparral, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Medicine Lodge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-1 victory against Skyline on the 7th. As for Chaparral, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Kingman/Norwich at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th.
