Basketball Recap: Crystal River Pirates vs. Lake Weir Hurricanes
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Crystal River ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They escaped with a win against the Lake Weir Hurricanes by the margin of a single free throw, 54-53. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Crystal River's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ej Jenkins, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Jenkins has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Yost, who posted 13 points and three steals.
