Volleyball Recap: Stoughton Takes a Loss

Stoughton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Sauk Prairie Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-13.

Emma Trautsch paced Stoughton's offense, picking up three kills. Trautsch got some help from Lia Tiede and her six assists.

Stoughton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-27. As for Sauk Prairie, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Coincidentally, Stoughton and Sauk Prairie will both be playing Portage the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Warriors at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
