Calexico Mission extends home losing streak to four

The Calexico Mission RoadRunners's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Julian. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Calexico Mission of the 50-40 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
Despite the loss, Calexico Mission saw an underclassman step up: Leonardo Longino scored 29 points. That was a full 60.4% of Calexico Mission's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Calexico Mission's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Julian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calexico Mission will take on Borrego Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Julian, they will head out on the road to take on Warner at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Warner focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Friday.
