Basketball Recap: Hughes Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Hughes won the last time they faced Withrow, and LeShawn Hill did his part to make sure it happened again. The Hughes BIG RED blew past the Withrow Tigers 71-47 on Friday thanks in part to Hill, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten assists. The game was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Hughes is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.9 points per game. As for Withrow, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Hughes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-51 win against Meadowdale on the 18th. As for Withrow, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Aiken at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st.
