Baseball Preview: Montoursville Warriors vs. Canton Warriors

The Montoursville Warriors will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Canton Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Montoursville fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Williamsport on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Millionaires by a score of 12-11.

Canton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Holden Ward, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Montoursville's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Canton, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4.
