Basketball Game Preview: El Segundo Eagles vs. Los Amigos Lobos

The El Segundo Eagles and the Los Amigos Lobos will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Wednesday, El Segundo came up short against Torrance and fell 53-43. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while the Tartars are ranked 252nd).

Meanwhile, Los Amigos was able to grind out a solid victory over Rancho Alamitos on Thursday, taking the game 73-60. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lobos.

Los Amigos pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for El Segundo, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
