Soccer Recap: Boone Comes Up Short

Boone lost against Timber Creek back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Boone Braves came up short against the Timber Creek Wolves, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Wolves are ranked 15th).

Boone has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4-1 record this season. As for Timber Creek, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boone will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Colonial at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Timber Creek and Winter Park will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Winter Park will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Timber Creek surely won't give up without a fight.
