Football Recap: Wood Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Wood's offense. They took a 6-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rodriguez Mustangs on Monday. The loss leaves the Wildcats still looking for their first win of the season.

Angelina ?Angel? Brown had a dynamite game For Rodriguez., rushing for 79 yards and one TD. Brown showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 66 yards.

Wood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rodriguez, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wood will take on rival Sacramento at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Rodriguez is set to square off against their familiar foe River City at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
