Blake Elder gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in March on Saturday. He was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Avon is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise.

Coming up, Elder and Avon will square off against Avon Lake at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The last time Elder took on the Shoremen, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
