Volleyball Recap: Muscle Shoals Beats Cullman for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Muscle Shoals entered their tilt with Cullman on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Bearcats. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

Muscle Shoals had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-10.

Janiyah Oates paced Muscle Shoals' offense, picking up 12 kills. Oates got some help from Olivia Chapman and her 29 assists. Makenzie Sears controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Muscle Shoals now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Cullman, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Muscle Shoals has already played their next matchup (against James Clemens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Cullman, they will challenge Jasper at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
