Volleyball Game Preview: Lincoln Trojans vs. St. Mary's Rams + Official Tickets

Lincoln hasn't had much luck against St. Mary recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the Rams at 6:30 p.m.

Lincoln is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since October 2nd on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Lodi.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15, 25-14.

Meanwhile, St. Mary's posted their closest victory since September 9th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Tracy 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.

St. Mary's took Tracy into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-12, 25-10, 22-25, 15-9.

St. Mary's win came from a few key players Lincoln will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Rachel Nemee, who had 28 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (six). Another player making a difference was Genevieve Rishwain, who had 22 digs and four aces.

St. Mary's was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for St. Mary's, their record is now 19-11.

Lincoln might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from St. Mary's when the teams last played on October 2nd. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
