It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Verona had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Secaucus Patriots as they made off with a 21-5 victory. The Hillbillies' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The win made it two in a row for Verona and bumps their season record up to 12-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Secaucus, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Verona has already played their next matchup (against Brearley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Secaucus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
