Basketball Recap: West Florence Knights vs. Hartsville Red Foxes
The West Florence Knights had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past Hartsville 46-44. The victory was just what West Florence needed coming off of a 66-37 defeat in their prior matchup.
Hartsville lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mccoy Harry, who scored nine points along with two blocks. Tyriq Fisher was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
West Florence's win bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Hartsville, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Florence will challenge the Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Florence has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 544 points over their last eight games. As for Hartsville, they will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
