Baseball Recap: West Fork Takes a Loss

West Fork fell victim to Wapsie Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 8-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warhawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The loss snapped West Fork's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-11 record. As for Wapsie Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

West Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wapsie Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Ansgar on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.6, the Saints 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
