Recap: Calusa Prep Colts vs. Downtown Doral Dolphins
The Calusa Prep Colts fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took their matchup on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 70-31 win over Downtown Doral. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Calusa Prep has managed all season.
Despite the loss, Downtown Doral still got an impressive performance from Juan Diego Castro, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Castro's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Bueno, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Calusa Prep's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Downtown Doral, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Calusa Prep will head out on the road to face off against Miami Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Downtown Doral will be home for the holidays to greet Jewish Culture at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
