Baseball Recap: Forest Hill Drops Season-High Score on Provine

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Forest Hill). Everything went their way against the Provine Rams on Thursday as they made off with a 23-6 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won three matchups in a row.

The team relied heavily on JaMarcus Byrd, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Griffin, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

The win got Forest Hill back to even at 5-5. As for Provine, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Forest Hill will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
