Softball Recap: Boiling Springs Bubblers vs. Ephrata Mountaineers
The Boiling Springs Bubblers made easy work of the Ephrata Mountaineers on Thursday and carried off a 14-5 win. Considering the Bubblers have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Evelyn Wiedenmayer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Boiling Springs let Peyton Lawyer and Isabelle Allen run wild. Lawyer went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Allen went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four hits gave Allen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Vonstein, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Boiling Springs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Boiling Springs now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Ephrata, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.
