Tri-Valley has gone 8-2 against LeRoy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Vikings will take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Tri-Valley sitting on seven straight wins and LeRoy on 14.

Last Friday, Tri-Valley made easy work of Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley and carried off a 10-2 victory. Considering the Vikings have won six games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Gretchen Wyant spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Addy Freihaut was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Fesler, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.

Meanwhile, LeRoy got the win against Sullivan on Saturday by a conclusive 14-3. The Panthers are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the 11th matchup they've won by 6+ runs this season.

LeRoy's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Tri-Valley, their win bumped their record up to 7-0-1.

Tri-Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against LeRoy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 16-15. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
