Basketball Recap: LBJ Austin Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

LBJ Austin had won six straight home games and Ja Shawn Waters did his part to make it seven on Tuesday. The LBJ Austin Jaguars secured a 70-64 W over the St. Andrew's Highlanders thanks in part to Waters, who went 8 for 20 en route to 23 points. His evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Marquis Murry Ii was another key player, putting up 11 points and five assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played.

LBJ Austin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for St. Andrew's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-7.

LBJ Austin will challenge Northeast Early College at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Andrew's has already played their next game (against St. Mark's), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
