The Mendota Trojans will venture away from home to  square off against the Sandwich Indians  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Mendota is coming into the  match on  a  three-game losing streak.
On Tuesday, Mendota came up short against Kewanee  and fell  2-0.
 While Mendota ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21,  25-19.
Meanwhile, Sandwich also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Woodstock North by a score of  2-0. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Thunder: they've now lost six in a row.
 While Sandwich was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15,  25-23.
 Mendota will have to keep a close watch on  Khloe White and  Rylee Huml, a pair of players who had a big impact on Sandwich's prior game. White  had eight  digs and two  aces, while  Huml  had ten  digs and one  assist.
 Mendota's defeat dropped their record down to 5-27-1. As for Sandwich, their loss dropped their record down to 7-22.
 Mendota couldn't quite get it done against Sandwich in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024 as they fell  2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
