Soccer Game Preview: Crete-Monee vs. Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South

The Crete-Monee Warriors will face off against the Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South Meteors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Crete-Monee fell victim to Westinghouse and their airtight defense on Saturday. They lost 7-0 to Westinghouse. Crete-Monee has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Victoria Soto. While losing is never fun, Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Victoria Soto are ranked 88th).
