Baseball Recap: Timnath Wins Going Away Against Northridge

Timnath and Northridge faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Saturday. The Cubs blew past the Grizzlies 11-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cubs considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Brek Ader was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Caden Poynter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Timnath always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win got Timnath back to even at 9-9. As for Northridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

Timnath will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Grizzlies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
