Basketball Game Preview: Big Valley Cardinals vs. Elk Creek Elks

Big Valley is on a seven-game streak of home losses, Elk Creek a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Wednesday. The Big Valley Cardinals will welcome the Elk Creek Elks at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Big Valley came up short against Happy Camp and fell 46-34.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elk Creek). They came out on top against Paradise Adventist Academy by a score of 45-38 on Thursday.

Elk Creek found their leader in sophomore Kaydence Reagan, who dropped a triple-double with 20 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reagan has scored all season. Makena Felipe-Mitchell was another key player, putting up eight points along with five boards and three steals.

Elk Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Elk Creek's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-8. As for Big Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.
